Sad News....

I regret that I have to post that the tan kitten died this week.  These kittens were really too young to be away from their Mama. Rest in Peace, little one. We are still fostering his little sister and are hopeful that she will keep getting stronger.

I've since been updated on what seems to have happened... 
Neighbors called the landlord saying they heard miaos from the other side of a duplex... When the landlord investigated, they found these two kittens apparently abandoned by the mother and brought them to the shelter. Although the shelter staff asked the people to be on the look out for the Mama, no one called about her or maybe she was a feral and got scared when she couldn't get her babies. Sometimes it's better to leave kittens alone and wait to see if Mama comes back.
