Wouter "Wally" De Backer  or Gotye (pronounced /ˈɡɒti.eɪ/)), is a Belgian-Australian multi-instrumental musician and singer-songwriter. The name "Gotye" is derived from "Gauthier", the French equivalent of "Walter" or "Wouter". His voice has been compared to those of Sting and Peter Gabriel.

I have to say, that even though "Somebody..." is the song that got me to listen to Gotye (they've been playing it on the radio a lot lately), I really like some of his other music; it's very innovative.
